A Legacy of Tree Care, Rooted in 1958
Mauget has been helping protect and preserve trees since 1958 — and today, that legacy continues in the mountains of Floyd, Virginia. Still family-owned and operated, Mauget is proudly led by Eric and Jordan Thompson, who carry forward the company's long-standing reputation for quality, innovation, and integrity in plant health care.
What began decades ago in Los Angeles now lives on in a new home — a small but mighty warehouse where science, craftsmanship, and passion for trees meet every single day.
Who We Are
We're a small team with big goals. At any given time, Mauget's production floor is run by two or three dedicated people — a tight-knit crew that handles everything from formulating products to filling, sealing, labeling, and shipping every capsule that leaves our doors.
We believe in doing things right. We believe in the people who help make that happen. And we're proud to know exactly who made, filled, and packed every product we ship.
The Owners
Jordan Thompson
Jordan holds a master's degree in Entomology and a bachelor's in Horticulture, both from Virginia Tech. She's also an ISA Certified Arborist and a licensed commercial pesticide applicator. Jordan oversees Mauget's research and development, works closely with university collaborators, and provides technical support to arborists and plant health care professionals nationwide. If you've ever called Mauget with a question, there's a good chance Jordan answered the phone — she believes in direct, personal connections with the people who use Mauget products every day.
Eric Thompson
Eric brings a background in agriculture and years of experience managing large-scale livestock operations before shifting his focus to plant health care. A lifelong entrepreneur with a practical engineering mindset, Eric leads Mauget's product design and new-development initiatives while keeping daily operations running smoothly. He oversees distribution and logistics, ensuring continuity between production and customer support. Eric's leadership style is hands-on, collaborative, and rooted in the same values that built Mauget's reputation from the beginning — hard work, reliability, and innovation that actually works in the field.

Brian
Logistics & Operations Manager
Brian keeps the heart of Mauget running. He manages daily production, maintains equipment, troubleshoots machines, formulates product batches, and ensures every process meets the company's strict quality standards. From blending formulations to fine-tuning the assembly line, Brian's attention to detail and technical know-how make him an indispensable part of the operation.
Noah
Production Assistant
Working closely with Brian and Eric, Noah supports all aspects of warehouse production — from preparing materials and monitoring equipment to packaging finished products and assisting with maintenance. His reliability and work ethic help keep operations efficient and consistent, even when production ramps up.
Operations & Administrative Leadership
Lisa McCoy
Vice President of Sales and Operations

Lisa oversees all aspects of pesticide operations at the J.J. Mauget Company, including regulatory compliance, product registrations, and coordination with the EPA. She works closely with distributors and manages key elements of Mauget's sales and operational activities.
With a background in Horticulture and Integrated Pest Management from Mt. San Antonio College, Lisa has long been active in advancing the arboriculture industry. She served on the board of the Street Tree Seminar from 2015 to 2019 and is a founding and current board member of the Youth Arboriculture Career Expo (YACE), where she contributes resources and boundless energy to support future professionals in the field.
Lisa regularly represents Mauget at trade shows across the country and is an active member of WCISA and the Aloha Arborist Association. She also collaborates with ISA, TCIA, and other industry organizations. Since 2007, Lisa has proudly served as a dedicated Sales Ambassador for the arboriculture and landscape industries.
Monica Briseño
Regulatory Affairs & Administration
Accounts Payable/Receivable • Registrations
Monica Briseño oversees all state pesticide and fertilizer registrations for Mauget, managing submissions, renewals, and ongoing communication with regulatory agencies across the U.S. She also handles tonnage and sales reporting, license renewals, and Restricted Use Pesticide (RUP) compliance in applicable states.
In addition to her regulatory duties, Monica maintains and updates all product labels, UPCs, and registration materials, ensuring accuracy and compliance across Mauget's product line. She also assists with sales order entry and administrative support as needed.
Monica's attention to detail and deep knowledge of regulatory processes help keep Mauget's operations running smoothly and in full compliance nationwide.
